Expand the Comfort of Your Home with a New Addition

What was once the perfect, spacious dream home can start to feel a little cramped. New family additions, home businesses, new hobbies, growing collections, or just more functionality, and other reasons call for increasing the square footage of your home. Rather than squeezing every inch of living space out of your house it might be time to consider a new home addition.

For over 15 years, Paragon Remodeling has helped homeowners in Maryland, D.C. and Virginia add value, space, and functionality by building simple and complex home additions.

Convinced you need more space but not sure where to start? Thinking about expanding instead of going through the process of selling then buying a larger home? We can provide all the info to help you get more out of your home.

The Benefits of a New Home Addition

Not sure if it’s the right time to build a new addition on your home? Consider these benefits when making your decision:

  • One of the best investments, adding significant value by creating a home with more square footage than surrounding homes.
  • You don’t need whole new rooms. Easily add more square footage by expanding existing rooms.
  • Customize your current home to meet growing family needs rather than moving – a huge cost savings.
  • Home additions make it easy to expand upward if property size limits your ability to expand outward.
  • You don’t have to spend time trying to sell your home when you can just customize yours with a new home addition.

We’ve Got Your Home Addition Needs Covered

There’s a lot that goes into expanding your living space. As a licensed general contractor, we’ve got you covered on all the fine details to get your project completed and up to code.

Frequently Asked Questions (click to expand)

A new home addition is a big undertaking and we know homeowners need all the information they can get to make a smart choice. That’s why we always provide a free, detailed, accurate estimate after meeting with you and touring your home.

We find that homeowners are often happier with their new addition if they’re involved in decisions like paint, flooring, hardware, light and outlet covers, trim, etc. At the same time, we’re more than happy to tackle that for you and can easily match the materials of your new addition with the materials currently in your home for a seamless addition to your living space.

This depends on the type of work being done in relation to your home. Before work begins, your project foreman will give specifics on what may need to be done. For example, if expanding an existing room, it’s best to remove all furniture and personal belongings from the space. For a complete new addition, you’ll want to relocate exterior belongings and clear space inside where appropriate.

We are licensed, bonded, and insured and we stand behind all of our work. If something isn’t right with the work we’ve done on your home then we’ll be more than happy to make it right, whether it’s an issue with the work itself or the materials acquired for your home.

A home addition is one of the most intensive and potentially complex remodeling projects. Even with tight coordination of experienced professionals in a structured build plan it can take anywhere from a couple weeks (a basic room addition) to a month or more (complex additions with plumbing, wiring, etc.). Our team will provide with an accurate estimate of the time to completion when we consult with you on your home addition, so you know the full scope of the project before it begins.
